The Tasbih After Every Prayer

Say 33 times

Subhanallah, wal-hamdu lillah, wallahu akbar.

Glory be to Allah. All praise is for Allah. Allah is the Greatest. There is no god but Allah alone, with no partner. To Him belongs the kingdom, to Him belongs all praise, and He is able to do all things.

What it means

A short, fixed portion of dhikr attached to every prayer, so no day passes without it. Praise, gratitude and greatness come first, then the statement of tawhid completes the hundred.

When and how

After each obligatory prayer say Subhanallah thirty three times, Alhamdulillah thirty three times, Allahu akbar thirty three times, then the statement of tawhid once to complete one hundred.

Its virtue

The Prophet ﷺ said that whoever glorifies Allah thirty three times, praises Him thirty three times and magnifies Him thirty three times after each prayer, then completes the hundred with the words of tawhid, will have his sins forgiven even if they were like the foam of the sea, reported in Sahih Muslim 597.
