Sitting Between the Two Prostrations
O Allah, forgive me, have mercy on me, guide me, mend what is broken in me, keep me well, provide for me, and raise me.
What it means
Seven requests in seven words, covering the past, the present and what comes next. The word jabr, to mend, is used for setting a broken bone; you are asking Allah to repair the places in your life that did not heal on their own.
When and how
Say it in the sitting between the two sajdahs of every rakah. If you cannot recall it all, Rabbighfir li, Rabbighfir li is also established.
Its virtue
Reported from the Prophet ﷺ in Sunan Abi Dawud 850 and Jami at-Tirmidhi 284 as what he said while sitting between the two prostrations.
