Praise After Food and Drink
الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَطْعَمَنَا وَسَقَانَا وَجَعَلَنَا مُسْلِمِينَ
Alhamdu lillahil-ladhi at'amana wa saqana wa ja'alana muslimin.
All praise is for Allah who fed us and gave us drink and made us Muslims.
What it means
Three blessings named in one breath, and the last is the greatest. Food and water keep you alive for a while; being guided to Islam is what the other two were given for.
When and how
Say it after a meal, either instead of or alongside the other dua after eating.
Its virtue
Reported as the dua of the Prophet ﷺ after eating in Sunan Abi Dawud 3850 and Jami at-Tirmidhi 3457.
