Getting Dressed
All praise is for Allah who clothed me with this and provided it for me without any power or strength on my part.
What it means
Clothing is such a constant blessing that it becomes invisible. This dua makes it visible again for a moment each morning, and it uses the same phrase as the dua after eating, which links the two most repeated favours of daily life.
When and how
Say it once while getting dressed.
Its virtue
The Prophet ﷺ said that whoever puts on a garment and says these words will have his past sins forgiven, reported in Sunan Abi Dawud 4023.
