Glory Be to Allah and Praise Is His
سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ
Subhanallahi wa bihamdih.
Glory be to Allah, and all praise is His.
What it means
Two ideas in four words: Allah is far above every fault, and every good thing that exists is from Him. It is light on the tongue and takes only a few minutes to complete a hundred, which is part of why the Prophet ﷺ singled it out.
When and how
Say it one hundred times in the morning and one hundred times in the evening. A walk, a commute or the wait before a prayer is enough time.
Its virtue
The Prophet ﷺ said that whoever says it a hundred times in a day has his sins wiped away even if they were like the foam of the sea, reported in Sahih al-Bukhari 6405 and Sahih Muslim 2691. He also said that whoever says it a hundred times in the morning and in the evening, no one will come on the Day of Resurrection with better than what he brings, except someone who said the same or more, reported in Sahih Muslim 2692.
