O Allah, It Is Your Mercy I Hope For
O Allah, it is Your mercy that I hope for, so do not leave me to myself for even the blink of an eye. Put all my affairs in order for me. There is no god but You.
What it means
The request not to be left to yourself even for a moment is one of the most honest lines in all the duas. It admits that the danger is not only what the world does to you but what you do when Allah withdraws His help. Then it asks Him to set right all your affairs at once, without you having to list them.
When and how
Say it when you feel unable to hold yourself together, and as part of your morning and evening remembrance.
Its virtue
The Prophet ﷺ taught these words as something to say in times of distress, reported in Sunan Abi Dawud 5090.
